Questions after body and boat wash up
The family of a Hout Bay man whose body washed up on Noordhoek beach on Saturday morning say they fear a crime may have led to his death. The body of Elderico “Janneman” Brown and the rubber duck in which he and two friends had put to sea on Friday night, washed up 30 metres apart. Brown was 30.

Teacher ‘abuse video’ probed
The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) has started an investigation after a video surfaced of what appears to be a Hout Bay teacher manhandling a pupil.

HUNGER striker, Hout Bay activist Bronwen Lankers-Byrne has not taken food for five days because of her opposition to the controversial new Chapman’s Peak toll plaza and office block.

Pupils, the elderly evacuated in Hout Bay inferno
Residents at a retirement village in Hout Bay, and pupils were evacuated in the face of a large vegetation fire on Monday. Ambleside School of Hout Bay foreman Dieter Bornhutter said pupils alerted teachers to flames near the school.
